Frank joined AWA midway through the 2000 season and he became the final AWA player, with his 30th at bat, to have his number retired. Frank thus became the answer to a couple of trivia questions, the other being who was the AWA pitcher on the mound at the end of AWA's last game? With one inning of batting practice relief, the answer is big ol' #29. Frank stepped into the AWA lineup and made an immediate impact, as his strong hitting and non-stop hustle helped the AWA offensive machine put up the gaudy offensive numbers that the team did in 2000. Easy going and friendly, Frank called everybody "bro". |
